Mileage Homie does not collect your data. The app is an on-device
IRS mileage tracker. Your information stays on your iPhone and is never sent to us or
any third party.
On your device by default
Your locations, photos, odometer readings, notes, and trips are stored only on your device.
iCloud sync is off — nothing is uploaded to any cloud.
No ads, no tracking, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs.
The only ways data leaves your device
Data leaves your phone only when you deliberately choose one of these actions:
A PDF mileage log you generate and share.
A QuickBooks CSV/JSON file you generate and share (business mileage
figures only — no GPS coordinates, no photos).
A support email you compose and send from your own mail app. Its
contents are diagnostics only (app version, iOS version, device model) — never your
trips, locations, or photos.
Each of these is a deliberate action you take. Nothing is sent automatically or in the background.
Location
Location is used only after you explicitly start tracking a trip, to measure the distance
you drive. It is processed on your device and is not collected by us. Map lookups
(directions and place search) are handled by Apple's MapKit.
